First BLog......
Okay, this blogging thing seems to be catching on in Ottawa. Must be a virus or something that probably came from one of the waterloo immigrants. ( ^_^ ) Heck, even I'm doing one. Oh well, more interesting reading for the can then. This summer has been very interesting for as long as I can remember, even more than that time I went down to Portland for Canada Day. So much has happened within a span of 3 months that usually would take at least 6-7 months to incubate to fruition.
(Voice of experience): Never sit next to a horizontal inwardly challenged person (aka. *FAT*). It's amazing how the human body can produce so many different levels and types of body odors. Perhaps this links to the theory of why people wear such THICK coats in the winter, heavy doses of perfume and the lack of atrocious body odors. It all comes out in the summer!
"I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toy'r'us kid......" Somehow this little ad jingle seems to be stuck in my mind for some reason, started around late April. Can't seem to get rid of it.
My end of Ottawa seem to be producing a lot of Riz and Congee cars, yes Orleans!. Riz because this is the French part of the city, french for Rice. There's one guy who drives around in a baby-blue Honda Del Sol with a 3" pipe and tacked on aluminum 10" baby-blue wing. *Baby-blue is clear for take-off!" ; ) Saw another Riz-car on Saturday while driving down highway 174; a black Honda CRX, tinted and lowered (yes, it makes the car go much faster) with the much needed 3" pipe and clear light covers and blue side turning indicator lights.(so blue seems to be the new standard for turning indicators). *Sigh* So many delusional people out there, maybe more so since Fast and Furious(or as Dom calls it Rice and Congee) came out. Installing a cold-air intake, bigger pipe, lowered wheels doesn't make the car go any faster, especially if the engine is a 1.0 - 1.6L and a 4 banger at that. You need at least a 2.0L engine to be able to achieve higher compression ratios (ie. S2000). Final word on Riced-cars; yellow color, racing stripes, fat pipes, new airfilters, lowered wheels and tinted windows doesn't make the car go faster, it's all about horsepower to weight ratio (ie. go swap for an engine with a larger capacity). nuff said.
Saw a Landrover Defender 110 series today while on the bus heading back home. It was kitted out in the safari model. Tres cool. In my opinion, the only true "SUV" per se is the Landrover or the original Chrysler "Geep" or now known as Jeep. The Landrover has been tested and proven to survive all known terrains. But why do people need SUVs for city driving anyways?
Hey this blogging thing is rather fun and therapeutical, heh heh. Get to rant and rave all I want. Maybe that's why people are starting their own blogs. Oh well, that's it for today, going back to work! See ya!
