CUAR Aftermath...

Response to Footprints in the Sand:

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord," What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat.
"But Lord, they are too big for feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."
"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up.
And there I dropped you on your butt."
"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."

Pastor Chris said it so well, when he read that poem. Often we rebel and turn our backs from God with or without knowing that. Sometimes we just don't want to follow what God has laid out for us (the Jonah syndrome). It may look like a difficult path but He challenged us to walk in faith and with a strong faith, the path would be much easily traverse. Eventually we will get back on that path, after much hardship. The point of this story is why go the long way when you can take the direct path with a heaping dose of faith to ease the travel.

One more day till CUAR...

That's right! One more day till CUAR, woohoo! A spiritual R & R to get re-energized for God's work. I wonder what the speaker is like and what his message will be on. It seems we have a pretty big turn out this year, 58 or so from both OCAC and MCAC. Unfortuately this will be the last year for CUAR, maybe there will be something else taking the place for CUAR... CUAR Episode II, attack of the Jook Sing? ;)

On another note, met Josh's mom for the first time and you can see the resemblances between J and his mom ;P She is here for a conference and will be in town for two days. Dom give Em and I a ride to the Elgin Street Diner, thanks Dom! Dinner was a'ight. After that Em and I went and got some gelato while waiting for the bus. We finished the primary layout for the handbook when we got back to Em's place. If the final layout for the handbook does not look good, it is because some people took their time to finished the information for the handbook (with much spelling errors, I might add). Most people who have not gone through a project menagement course or had experiences managing projects tend to ASS-U-ME too many things and that everythign will be alright. There is something called Murphy's Law. Something can still happen during the photocopying of the handbook materials, ie. photocopiers happen to simultaneously die when we get to Staples or Kinkos!!!!!

Ah wellz, pray that God will get everything done on time and all will be running smooth. Pray that everyone will have a safe journey to CUAR and back and that no one will get lost.

later!
