If You Do Right By God, He'll Do Right By You

Just finished the book of Deuteronomy and the entire book concentrated on God reminding the Isrealites to obey His laws and to have faith in Him. God kept his covenant with His chosen people and prepared the way for them to lay claim to the land east of the Jordan River. Eventhough the Isrealites turned their backs on Him and broke His laws, He still kept His promise. It was He who signed the covenant and thankfully so. If Man had signed the covenant, the consequences would probably have been greater when the laws were broken. It's truely great to see that the Lord is a just, loving, kind and disciplining (only when needed) God.

Last week was crazy and mad for me, with exams, interviews and course assessment questions to finish. New module started today for the PFPP and we got free lunch today too. The course coordinator catered sandwiches for the whole class. Pretty cool. I forgot that today's classroom was in the Hospitality building, so I was 10 minutes late trying to find it. Thankfully, Dave (the instructor) realized that and waited for people who forgot about the class change. Interestingly, the classroom across from ours was the bartending class. Each "workstation" had atleast 10 types of liquor/ alcohol on it and the students were busy mixing concotions. Maybe we can sample some next week.... ;P Alchy-heaven.

Ah wells, back to da books.

The Joys of the English Language

As posted in a friend's blog:

Can you parse the following sentence?
Jon, where James had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had the teacher's approval.
Hint: Jon was right

Finally got rid of those pesky Waterloo hackers ;P.

Man, been so busy with my courses. Learning alot about tax reductions and tax planning though : ).

Seems everyone is going through changes in their lives, one way or another, some good, some not so good. I pray that God would guide them and give them His guidance in whatever they decide to do. I also pray for God's protection and wisdom for the Elijah committee and fellowship in cohesiveness and desire to do His work and seek His face. Sports Ministry is up with another event(s). There's two this time, soccer and basketball (3 on 3). There's a fair number of people that have signed up already. I pray that they will be able to invite their friends to partake in this event and to share in the Gospel as well. However, we do need volunteers for the event to help setup and be referees. After the event, it's chow time at the Fall harvest banquet.
