Peanuts and Crackerjacks Anyone?
Okay, it's been awhile since I've updated, after some prodding some *a-hEM*. : ) This past two weekends have been tied up with ACES (Active Christians Evangelizing through Sports; the "t" is silent in ACES) Mini-Softball tournament. The tournament went as well as can be, there were some non-christians who were really asking questions about christianity and Christ at the BBQ that was held on the last Sunday. That's really awesome! Now to plan for the fall event(s). Any suggestions?

Just got a new bike today, an Arashi Vertical. I decided to try a Y-frame, to see how it handles. It was on sale for 199.99 so why not? It has full suspension with 21 speeds. Have to remember not to use the front brakes too much when in high speed, the rear suspension rides up (hence throwing you off the bike ;P). I did a test run and it's pretty responsive and quick.

Ohh Canada!
This past week had been pretty busy with the coming of the celebration for Canada's Day of Confederation. Emmy came up on Saturday at an oh-so early time of 4am instead of the scheduled 530am time. Evidently, there was a large influx of people heading up to OT and Peterborough/ Trent, so Greyhound dispatched 3 buses to cover the load. 2 buses headed straight to OT without the ususal stop along Hwy. 7, thus making the trip to OT in 4.5hrs. Picked her up from the station (where she was talking to someone she had met on the bus) and headed for home facing an awesome sunrise. We stopped by Mickey D's for breakfast and we got the McGriddles, these things taste odd, a combination of sweet and savoury flavors. We crashed for a few hrs till the rest of my family woke up. Later that night we rented Catch Me If You Can, which was a very good movie considering DiCaprio was in it. He can actually act. The movie proves that crime does pay, ie. he gets lots of jobs once he was done his prison sentence. Ah wells, that doesn't mean that we should commit crimes to gain that kind of an end. Sunday was cell group dinner at Matt's very nice and new apartment. Monday was dinner date with Ma-chiew and Cherie at Siam Bistro, which has some of the best thai curries I've had in Ottawa, but I've had better ;P Tuesday was Canada Day which started with lunch at MK with Chris and Dom. Later we headed to Major's Hill park to setup our command post to view the fireworks :) This year's fireworks seem to last longer and was more intense in it's display, maybe it's to make up for no-shows and past lame ones. That's all for the C-day weekend.
