Letting Go, Moving On and Shaking One's Sandals at Someone's Doorway
Have you ever wondered why 2 Samuel was named after Samuel? I mean, he died three quarters into 1 Samuel, so why would the next book still be named after him when the entire book is about David. As well, who was the writer for the books of 1 and 2 Samuel?
"Shaking One's Sandals at the Someone's Doorway"
Upon various counsel and conversations, I've partially decided to give up on certain egoistical parties and pray that God would instill some 'christian' sense into them; hence the shaking of sandals at the doorway. Some were never meant to grow up and mature mentally and spiritually except perhaps through pain of death. Ah wells, whatever; to each his own.
I've taken a self appointed reading days break this past two weekends; to get some needed break from the crazy world of financial planning and to see my Waly Lime. This has been a very good two weekends. The first weekend was spent at the autoshow (a bit of a disappointment, didn't get to sit in the G35 coupe, but did get to sit in the 350Z), got lots of pictures; both dig and cellulose pics, which has to be developed. Obviously, it wouldn't be an autoshow without the Rice and Potato sideshow freak section. The stupidies that some people would do to their cars. As well, Korean BBQ and dim sum; so stuffed in two days.
(Aside) Although the Toyota Echo Type R is a ugly and dinky little car, it has pretty decent pick-up and handles well up to 140kph.
This weekend, we spent a few hours at PM and MV and once again had Korean BBQ, I think I've had my fill of that for at least another year. Gonna have some Star Walk Buffet on Sunday after service and picking up Jon for the trip back up to Ottawa. Rented a Neon for Saturday at Waterloo but they were out of that class of cars so we got a Jeep Liberty Type R for the same price, which was so sweet, especially for Em (b/c you can see all around, easy to see blind spots!) Em and I went to the village of St. Jacobs for the day. There are some really good restaurants there and factory outlets as well. We had lunch at the Benjamin Inn which wasn't overly priced and the lunch was well prepared and cooked. The decor on the inside was very pleasing to the eye as were the washrooms, where the floors were sparkling clean. Once I'm back in Ottawa, it's back to the books hardcore, got me an exam on Friday, hope I'm ready for that. I pray that the preparations for the curling event for Sports Ministry is going well. So much prayer is needed for so many things, good thing He's omnipotent, boundless, limitless and never-ending.
Gonna rest a bit b/4 dinner,
Later...........
