Evening Shift = Boring..............
Nehemiah 12
There was a great celebration as the wall of Jerusalem was dedicated and there was much sacrifices offered as well as tithes and offerings to the storerooms.

I'm at a crossroad of sorts, where do I go or rather where does God want me to go. Where does He want me to go in terms of my career where I can serve Him as well and does His plan require me to go back to school? I definately need prayer in these places and some quiet time to listen to His voice.

On another note, evening shifts are the worst. They are boring and boring. It just literally saps all energy from you, plus there are all sorts of strange people lurking there during those hours; ie. old men demanding their 2nd set of prints of pictures taken of naked women from a tv screen, cursing and screaming mad when it was mistakenly forgotten by the Photolab ppl. Ah well, it's a strange country.

Last Snow Day?
Nehemiah 8
Ezra the priest reads to the people of Israel the Book of the Law of Moses that God had commanded him. All the men and women who could understand wept and worshipped God. They had finally understood the words of God that they had heard. The Levites taught then israelites what the laws meant and they celebrated.

Arg! Winter's last dying breath brought a snow storm today. But after that, the weather will be getting warmer! :)
Went to the International Ottawa-Gatineau Auto Show at the Congress Center on Thursday hoping that there would be some improvements. Alas, it was still crappy and Honda, Toyota, Mercedes and some of the other major japanese and european auto manufacturers still have decided not to waste their time there. :P So it's now the Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto or nothing unless somehow I'm lucky enough to go to Geneva, Detroit or the Tokyo autoshows. ;)

There's a "new" chinese restaurant in OT on Bank St. south, I think it's just a change in chef. The name is Beijing Tianrun and they serve Beijing and Szechuan cuisine. The food is good but must remember to tell them to not add MSG next time. It's not as greasy and Northern Tu (sp?) and much cleaner and more spacious.

1 year older, but don't feel any older ;P Some co-workers at work thought that I looked 20 when my manager told them it was my b-day on Sunday. "Age ain't nothing but a number." - Bill Cosby, Cosby Show

The SS class on Personal Holiness in Times of Temptation by Dr. Wilkinson has made an impression on me. It opened a whole lot of truths and understanding in temptation and how to be holy against it and remaining sexually pure in a relationship. Em and I made a commitment to one another to hold each other accountable and to continue to keep our relationship pure. Wow, what an impact this has been, something more to strive for.

What's Your Passion?
Nehemiah 2
Nehemiah confesses the sins of the Israelites to God and asks for a way to bring his people back to God. He asks for God's strength and presence when he requests from Artaxerxes that he(Nehemiah) be allowed to travel to Jerusalem to rebuilt the city. The Lord hears all our prayers and requests and grants them when they (prayers and requests) abide in Him.

Watched the Mel Gibson movie: The Passion of the Christ on opening night. 1 1/2 hours later, all was quiet in the theatre. The scenes were compelling and graphic in certain parts which probably explained the silence at the end of the film. As I was walking out of the theatre, I saw a myriad of different expressions among the crowd of movie-goers who had watch The Passion. Some were grossed out by the "gore" in the movie, others were crying from the scenes of His suffering and yet others had the look of ponder, trying to understand why this man had to die in this way. As I see it, the movie can be used both as an evangelistic tool as well as a reminder to believers of the sacrifice Jesus made for our redemption. I can see non-believers have questions after watching the movie, such as who was this man and why did he had to do what he did. Yes, there are yays and nays towards this movie but I think it's best, if you've not seen the movie, that you watch this movie first and then decide if you would recommend it to anyone else.

On another note; after all the recent scandals happening in the Canadian government, would you want to vote for the Liberals in the next election?

btw, there's still snow on the ground. :P

"Lord, I pray for your spirit to work in this city of Ottawa, that you would enter the hearts and minds of the leaders of this nation. And that you would change their attitude and behaviours towards how you would want this great nation to be governed and how its society to behave. I lift all this up into your hands Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen."
