What's Your Passion?
Nehemiah 2
Nehemiah confesses the sins of the Israelites to God and asks for a way to bring his people back to God. He asks for God's strength and presence when he requests from Artaxerxes that he(Nehemiah) be allowed to travel to Jerusalem to rebuilt the city. The Lord hears all our prayers and requests and grants them when they (prayers and requests) abide in Him.
Watched the Mel Gibson movie: The Passion of the Christ on opening night. 1 1/2 hours later, all was quiet in the theatre. The scenes were compelling and graphic in certain parts which probably explained the silence at the end of the film. As I was walking out of the theatre, I saw a myriad of different expressions among the crowd of movie-goers who had watch The Passion. Some were grossed out by the "gore" in the movie, others were crying from the scenes of His suffering and yet others had the look of ponder, trying to understand why this man had to die in this way. As I see it, the movie can be used both as an evangelistic tool as well as a reminder to believers of the sacrifice Jesus made for our redemption. I can see non-believers have questions after watching the movie, such as who was this man and why did he had to do what he did. Yes, there are yays and nays towards this movie but I think it's best, if you've not seen the movie, that you watch this movie first and then decide if you would recommend it to anyone else.
On another note; after all the recent scandals happening in the Canadian government, would you want to vote for the Liberals in the next election?
btw, there's still snow on the ground. :P
"Lord, I pray for your spirit to work in this city of Ottawa, that you would enter the hearts and minds of the leaders of this nation. And that you would change their attitude and behaviours towards how you would want this great nation to be governed and how its society to behave. I lift all this up into your hands Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen."
