Long Update
Time seems so short when you have so much to do....
After J-Camp, it's off to T.O. for a wedding. It was Tai-Jing (Em's former house mate) and Daniel Hsueh's (a friend of Em's and Fred Hsueh's older brother) wedding. The wedding was held at the Logos Church on Old Kennedy Rd. There were so many people at the ceremony, most I have not met before, some I have from CCF, KWCAC and some Ottawa turncoats ;P (ie. Ben C., Euhan and Sandra). The dinner reception was really awesome, got some real shark's fin (actual pieces). I think everyone was stuffed by the 8th dish (it was a 10 course meal with 2 deserts dishes). And there was the usually games that is played on the bride and groom, especially the kissing games and how well you know your wife games. I also got to meet Fred's twin brother, Frank. It was a good think they had different hair and clothes styles or else it would be almost impossible to tell them apart. The wedding reception was at the Celestial Court at Market Village. The next day, it was off to church with Em's friend from Waterloo, Eric (Rice). He picked us up and off we went to Richmond (Rich Man ;P) Hill Chinese Baptist Church. It is a pretty big church and new too. The sanctuary is in the gym (hmm, two rooms for the price of one, maybe OCAC should do that as well when and if the elders decide to get a new building for the church) and the worship team is a 4-piece team. The atmosphere at RHCBC was very friendly and warm, which was surprising for a large church. The pastor talked about spiritual highs and how it is good and bad. Spiritual highs are great to get spiritual projects going but eventually we get tired/ burn out. We need God in our lives and whatever we do, we cannot hope to accomplished anything on our own in the long run.
I'm so behind in my blogs....
ah wellz.
